Everything the official app is missing

Direct BLE link to the inverter: your data stays home while your smart home gets full control.

📊

Live web dashboard

PV1/PV2 generation, grid export, voltage, frequency, temperature — real-time from any device.

🎚️

Power limit control

Dashboard slider, REST call or MQTT command — the limit is applied instantly via the native BLE command.

🏠

Home Assistant

MQTT auto-discovery: sensors and the limit control appear in HA by themselves. Automations out of the box.

🔌

REST API

GET /api/telemetry, /api/status, set the limit with a single request — integrate with anything.

Energy counters

Daily and lifetime production (kWh) computed on-device and preserved across reboots.

🧙

Setup wizard

First boot opens a step-by-step portal: Wi-Fi scan, BLE discovery of your Stream 2, EcoFlow account. Zero code.

🔒

Privacy

No cloud: telemetry never leaves your network. Optional password on the dashboard and API.

📡

mDNS address

The dashboard is always at http://name.local/ — no hunting for IPs after a router reboot.

🩺

Diagnostics

Uptime, RSSI, BLE/MQTT state, free heap and factory reset — on a dedicated page.

From box to dashboard in 3 steps

All you need is an ESP32-C3 board (~$3) and Chrome or Edge. No Arduino IDE, no drivers, no terminal.

Flash from the browser

Plug the ESP32-C3 in via USB, open the install page and click “Install”. The web installer does the rest.

Run the wizard

Join the “Stream2-Setup” Wi-Fi hotspot — the wizard finds your network and your Stream 2, asking only for passwords. If the page doesn't open by itself, enter 192.168.4.1 in your browser.

Take control

Open the dashboard at your device address — telemetry is already flowing. Enable MQTT and Stream 2 appears in Home Assistant.

FAQ

The essentials, briefly.

Is it safe for my Stream 2?

Yes. EF-Bridge speaks the same BLE protocol as the official app: it reads telemetry and sets the power limit with the native command. The inverter firmware is untouched.

Will the official EcoFlow app keep working?

Yes, over Wi-Fi and cloud — in parallel with EF-Bridge. The only limitation: BLE allows a single connection, so while the bridge is connected the app can't attach via Bluetooth.

What hardware do I need?

Any ESP32-C3 board (e.g. ESP32-C3 SuperMini, ~$3) and a USB cable. Nothing else — no soldering, no programmer.

Does it work without internet?

Dashboard, MQTT and control are fully local. Internet is only needed for time sync (NTP), the initial USER_ID fetch and license verification.

How many devices per key?

One key = one ESP32 (bound to its MAC address). A second bridge needs a second key.

Where do I find the MAC to buy a key?

On your device's Diagnostics page, and after the trial ends — on the /license page next to the key input field.
